CASA prepares income taxes for free in York, Lancaster, and on a limited basis Chester and Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.

Due to the COVID pandemic, in order to keep safe taxpayers and our volunteers, CASA will do most of our service with limited in-person activity and with scheduled appointments. Please arrive on-time and with all proper materials to complete your return.

What to Bring to a Tax Appointment

Photo Identification

 

Social Security Card/ITIN Document *any issues contact CASA

Copy of 2019 Return

 

W2, 1099s, and all other income documentation

Birthdates of all those listed on the return *ALL adults listed must be present to sign the return, all dependents must present original social security card

 

If self-employed bring all expenses and income information (including cash)

Child Care Information: tax ID number, provider, address

 

Bank account number and bank routing number (or a voided check)

Information about money received by IRS or state from the previous year

Any other tax related documentation you have received

Prepare your Federal and State income tax

Help you get your refund by check or direct deposit, based on your preference. We can help you open a bank account so you can get a direct deposit, and get your refund without paying commissions and interests.

Provide guidance to claim your stimulus payments when you are eligible and have not yet received it.

 
 

File for a new ITIN so you can start paying income taxes.

 

Renew your ITIN if yours is already expired.

 

Improve your financial knowledge, so you can increase your credit score, and prepare a household budget to save money.

Eligibility

This service is available for all household that made lower than $64,000, and live in Pennsylvania, regardless of the City or County of residence.
