New American Youth Leadership Council

The New American Youth Leadership Council (NAYLC) is a new initiative in partnership with the National Partnership for New Americans (NPNA). The program aims to expand youth leadership development to grow and sustain the movement of advancing full inclusion and integration of immigrants, refugees, and all marginalized communities. NAYLC will train youth leaders of color ages 15-24 in various areas of community leadership development with hands-on experience at the local and federal levels on issues that matter to them.

 

By the end of this program, participants will an understanding of the basic tenets of community organizing and building power, knowledge of concepts of Social Action and Power Building, US Government/Policy Structure, Community Education and Civic Engagement, Immigration Legal Services, and Policy and Advocacy through Case Studies and meaningful soft and hard leadership and movement-building skills.
