Maryland Community Liaison Myrna Batres started as a volunteer as health promoter for CASA in 2003. As health promoter, she educated the community on topics relating to health and HIV. In 2006, Myrna became field network specialist at CASA. In that time, she scheduled trainings for the community, data entry, and follow ups. In 2006, Myrna transfered to the Welcome Centers where she began working as a community Liaison helping the employment specialist. Myrna’s passion is to serve the community members, a role that she enjoys every day. Myrna in her time off loves to travel with her daughters and visit her natal country of El Salvador.
