WASHINGTON (JANUARY 10, 2018) While the Trump Administration announced the end of the program that has helped more than 195,000 Salvadorans in the United States this week, CASA is vowing to keep fighting for a Congressional solution that will give all TPS holders permanent residency and an eventual path to citizenship.

CASA was an early supporter of Senators Chris Van Hollen and Ben Cardin’s legislation to protect the legal status of 320,000 Temporary Protected Status (TPS) recipients and push for passage of the Dream Act.

As this legislation continues to pick up steam in Congress, CASA will be working closely with the community to renew permits one last time and perform a comprehensive look of individual’s cases to see if there are other legal avenues that would permit a stay in the country.

Clinics are planned for Saturday, February 3rd
