The Maryland State Financial Aid Application, also known as MSFAA, is another financial aid
application similar to the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). The MSFAA is
different from FAFSA because it allows undocumented students who are eligible for in-state
tuition to apply for various State financial aid grants and scholarships.

There are many different state financial aid programs available that a student could be eligible
for once they complete the MSFAA. Find the complete list.

Undocumented students, including DACA students are eligible to complete the MSFAA if:

  • Not eligible to complete the FAFSA
  • Eligible for In-state tuition:
    • 3 years of taxes
    • Attended Maryland high school
    • Graduated from Maryland high School or with GED

If all of these checklist points apply to you, then you are probably eligible to fill out
the MSFAA. Review the student guide in the embedded PDF below.
