For the last decade, DACA and TPS have provided hundreds of thousands of immigrants an opportunity to gain temporary legal status. DACA and TPS protect recipients from deportation, and allows them to live and contribute to their communities and local economies. Facing xenophobic attacks in Congress, immigrants who have lived in the US for years live in uncertainty. Last year, a groundswell of support from mayors, business, religious and civil rights leaders called on Congress to take action to finally protect them. This year, we face new hope.
