What does it mean when we say climate justice is racial justice? While only a few contribute to climate change, many suffer the detrimental repercussions, especially those most vulnerable such as BIPOC and low income communities.

Wealthy countries contribute to climate change as they benefit financially from burning fossil fuels. These countries have the resources to adapt to the effects of climate change.

Meanwhile, poorer countries are exposed to an increased likelihood of physical and mental illnesses and home displacement.

It is imperative to create climate solutions that consider low income, high-risk populations.
