Hyattsville, MD ― Today, Gustavo Torres, the Executive Director of CASA released the following statement:

“CASA opposes the budget deal reached by congressional negotiators.  Our members already suffer the overreaches of an out-of-control federal deportation force.  This deal will result in the hiring of even more family separation shock troops while failing to stop the President from robbing the already inadequate Puerto Rico relief funds.  It is a bad deal for our members and for all Americans.” Gustavo Torres, Executive Director.
