The sociopolitical and armed conflict in the Anglophone region worsens with no end in sight. The political and armed conflict in those regions continues to rage on.
Since 2017, that conflict alone has led to the deaths of 6,000 people and the displacement of over 750,000 people. Over 86,000 people have fled to neighboring Nigeria due to the violence. Extremists in the Far North are still active and violent. Armed conflict within Cameroon and in neighboring countries continue to drive instability, leading to large-scale displacement and an increase in the humanitarian needs of large swaths of the population.
