Luis Zaldivar is CASA’s first-ever Georgia State Director, leading the expansion of immigrant power, programming, and policy in the state. Luis is a community engagement executive with over 10 years of experience on social intervention programs in Latin America and the Southeastern United States. Prior to CASA Luis was focused on criminal justice initiatives as well as electoral programs in Georgia and Florida. With a background on anthropology and sociology, he has worked on multiple advocacy campaigns as well as development programs in Peru, Ecuador and the U.S. Luis has also published numerous essays and articles, as well as coauthored a book about Peruvian history. Luis holds a Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology and Master of Arts in Sociology.
