Communications Specialist for Francophone and African Immigrant Communities

Ines Furume Mangala joins CASA as the first-ever communications specialist for Francophone and African immigrant communities. A polyglot in speaking English, French, Swahili, and Lingala, she has served as a communication and outreach intern for the DC Mayor’s Office on African Affairs as well as project coordinator and case manager for the Person Project, which provides culturally and linguistically responsive services and resources to support African immigrants in Washington, DC. Ines is originally from the Democratic Republic of Congo. She has a Bachelor of Arts in Speech Communication, a Master of Arts in Professional Communication, and a Doctorate in Strategic Leadership – Global Consulting.
