Alex Vazquez

Lead Organizer Alex Vazquez empowers and inspires CASA members in Montgomery County. His efforts have led to mobilizing well over 500 community members, resulting in favorable outcomes for housing, immigration, and policy issues on all levels of government. He has established three tenant associations and currently has dozens of leaders fighting in the frontlines for our community members. The local leaders he organizes have active roles within the organization and have made countless media appearances and given many memorable speeches. Alex believes that only when the community is organized can there be policies that help rather than harm our people. One of his favorite quotes by Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. is, “those who love peace must learn to organize as effectively as those who love war.”
