Climate Justice

It is our human right as people living on this Earth to live in a safe and habitable planet where all communities, including migrants, can thrive. This climate emergency humanity faces today is fueled by capitalism, colonialism, and imperialism. It violates human rights to live a dignified life on this planet.

More than 70 million – people, including 13 million children, displaced from their homelands because of the climate crisis

140 million – people expected to be displaced by climate change in the decades to come

It is critical now more than ever to recognize that climate justice is migrant justice. CASA’s restorative vision is based on protecting our planet and the people who live on it and centers around expanding green infrastructure, fighting pollution, expanding water access, and working toward a green economy.
