2021 Maryland Legislative Campaigns

This year in Maryland, CASA is mobilizing and organizing our members to both lead and participate in passing several critical bills that would transform the everyday lives of immigrants and working families in Maryland. In coalition with partners across the state, we advocate for a variety of immigrant rights bills including the Maryland Trust Act, the Dignity Not Detention Act, universal representation, and more. 

Immigrant families in Maryland have been among those hardest hit by the pandemic,  Emergency COVID-19 relief for essential workers and renters – including undocumented families – through statewide legislation is among CASA’s top priorities.   CASA also joins with Black-led organizations from across the state in demanding meaningful police reform.
