Daughters of immigrants will rally outside the residence of VP Harris, herself a daughter of immigrants, asking “daughter to daughter” for VP Harris to deliver for citizenship as Senate Presiding Officer

WASHINGTON, DC — Immigrant activists, domestic workers and daughters of immigrants will gather outside Vice President Harris’ house at One Observatory Circle to urge the Vice President, herself a daughter of immigrants, to take action to ensure a path to citizenship in budget reconciliation. As a life-long fighter for immigrant rights, and the Senate Presiding Officer, Vice President Harris can deliver. Directly impacted immigrants and organizational leaders will gather outside her residence, share their stories, then march around the campus.

The action follows a letter signed by 57 grassroots organizations urging the Vice President to lead on this issue, disregarding the parialmentarian’s advice if necessary, to ensure a path to citizenship for millions of immigrants in budget reconciliation this year.
