CASA celebrates families and immigrant culture with first fair in summer series

HYATTSVILLE, MD — CASA kicks-off the summer in Prince George’s County, Maryland, with the Family and Cultural Summer Fair, with over 100 local families expected to attend. The Family and Cultural Summer Fair is the first in a series of outdoor events this summer aimed at promoting the cultural development of the immigrant community.

The fair will host family and cultural activities and include:

  • COVID vaccines and information
  • Library card sign up, registration for the summer reading program, and information on the new building of the Hyattsville Library
  • Visual and performing arts including poetry, dance, rap, and open mic
  • Unveiling of community garden at Villas apartment buildings, which surround CASA headquarters
