Coalition of workers rally for Congressman Perry to support critical legislation

YORK, PA — As Congress is in recess, immigrants and activists gather Thursday, April 8, together to push Congressman Scott Perry (PA-10) and other legislators for bold actions to protect our future. Pennsylvania’s essential workers are the backbone of our state’s economy and have worked throughout the pandemic to keep us all fed, safe, and healthy, risking their own health and safety to do so. Advocacy groups are coming together to ask that Congressman Perry center essential workers by investing in care workers and the care economy, paid sick leave and early learning, a path to citizenship for essential workers, and climate solutions that will provide family-sustaining, green jobs to Black, brown, and immigrant workers.

WHAT: Immigrants, care workers, and allies rally to call on Congressman Scott Perry to support the American Jobs Act, THRIVE Act, and path to citizenship for essential workers, DACA, and TPS holders.
