Baltimore, MD –  As the underfunded healthcare system continues to fail the most vulnerable communities, immigrants and healthcare advocates raise alarms at this press conference about the lack of quality healthcare. Immigrants will share testimonies of living without reliable care, the fear of getting sick, and needing emergency medical care but oftentimes not seeking it.

The groups will urgently demand that in this critical time, Baltimore County establish high quality healthcare programs for all, regardless of their immigration status. The passage of a healthcare budget that includes non-citizen immigrant families will improve the quality of life for immigrant communities and propel the county closer to a future where immigrant families can live healthy and full lives.
