Baltimore Community Gathers to Honor Carmen Rodriguez and Other Victims of Violence

 

What: A community vigil to remember Carmen Rodriguez, a Latina a business owner who lost her life to gun violence two days before Christmas. The vigil was organized to uplift her story and the story of all victims and family members who have lost loved ones in 2019.

Who: CASA joins several community organizations and individual organizers alongside directly impacted families of recent victims.

When: Wednesday, Jan. 22nd, 4:30 p.m. TODAY!

Where: The first vigil and “solidarity walk” will start at Library Square, 158 N. Linwood Avenue, at 4:30 p.m. and will end at City Hall on the intersection of Fayette Street and Holiday Street, with another vigil at City Hall scheduled to begin at 7:00 p.m.

 

BALTIMORE  – On January 22nd, CASA will host a candlelight vigil to remember Carmen Rodriguez, who was tragically shot and killed days before Christmas. The vigil aims to support the Rodriguez family and all victims who lost their lives to gun violence in recent months.
Following the vigil, attendees will walk from 158 N. Linwood Avenue to City Hall in honor of all families affected by violence in the community.

 

All residents are welcome to join this somber event to support victims. The vigil and march will start at Library Square at 4:30 p.m. and will end at City Hall at 7:00 p.m.
