Youth Leadership Institute

What is it?

The Youth Leadership Summer Institute is a training program for youth leaders in Baltimore aged 14-24 that is geared toward youth activists that have been involved in the struggle to win police accountability and to build peace and solidarity in our schools and neighborhoods.   Learn from your peers and from youth trainers and build your power network to win lasting change in Baltimore.

Who is organizing it?

The Institute is a project of the Campaign for Justice, Safety, and Jobs, and is a partnership between CASA,   Leaders for a Beautiful Struggle, Peace X Piece, Baltimore Algebra Project, and Empowerment Temple, with additional support from Orita’s Cross Freedom School, Southern Elections Foundation, 1199 SEIU, and Amnesty International.

When and Where?

The Institute will take place from August 17 – 21, 9:00 am-3:00 pm. At 611 N. Eutaw St. Baltimore, MD 21201.  Upon registration, organizers will contact you with more details about bus passes and transportation logistics.

How do I register?

Complete the electronic registration form or email for a paper version. If you are under 18, make sure to have your parent or guardian sign the consent form.
