Area Activists Strategize Next Steps in Immigration Reform Battle

–        Special Guest Congressman Luis Gutierrez (IL 4) to Provide Update from the Hill as Region’s Immigrant Leaders Plan Next Set of Actions –

 

Langley Park, MD – More than a hundred local leaders will gather Tuesday evening in Langley Park to hear from Members of Congress and make plans for the on-the-ground push to pass immigration reform in 2014.

Congressman Luis Gutierrez (IL 4), broadly considered the country’s most prominent spokesperson on justice for immigrants, will join CASA members from throughout the region to provide the most up-to-date state of play from Capitol Hill.  Meeting attendees will include moms and dads at risk of deportation, labor and faith activists, and more.
