PRESS RELEASE: A New Muslim Ban, Same as Old Muslim Ban

Posted March 6, 2017 /
WASHINGTON (March 6, 2017) _ CASA’s Executive Director Gustavo Torres condemned the new executive order banning immigration from six Muslim-majority countries signed by President Donald Trump today.

“Just like the last executive order, this order is an affront to American values.  Banning refugees and immigrants from specific countries is deeply disturbing for all immigrants.”

“We stand together with our Muslim brother and sisters, many of whom have suffered unspeakable horrors in wars and civil unrest, in speaking out against attempts to demonize all who come to this country seeking a safe harbor.”

CASA will participate in a rally against this and all other anti-immigrant initiatives coming from the Trump Administration at 6 p.m. tonight in front of the White House.
