Les estoy invitando a la marcha de mujeres este sábado, enero 21! Viene un año difícil con la nueva administración, pero esta es una oportunidad de demostrar nuestra fuerza como mujeres y recodarle a Donald Trump que estamos listos para defender nuestro derechos.

Nos estamos reuniendo en Garfield Park (3rd St SE y G St SE) cerca del Capitol South Metro a las 8:30am. Allí nos vamos a encontrar con otras organizaciones incluyendo sindicatos, grupos de mujeres, y lideres religiosos para representar el movimiento de los grupos inmigrantes.

El día de la Inauguración, vamos estar en el Multipurpose room en el MCC pintando alas de mariposas para la marcha. Varias organizaciones han decido de usar alas de mariposas ese día para mostrar que la migración es algo lindo como una mariposa. Este movimiento comenzó con Favionna Rodriguez una artista/activista. Me imagino que muchos de ustedes tendrán emociones el viernes, y esta es una buena oportunidad para expresarnos usando arte.

Si están interesados/as en participar en la marcha de mujeres o el día de artes, por favor me mandan un email lo mas pronto posible indicando cuantas  personas traen para tener una idea de cuantas personas vienen a los dos eventos. I wanted to invite you to the Women’s March that is happening this Saturday, January 21st! We have a difficult year ahead of us with this new administration, but this will be an opportunity to show our strength as women and to remind Donald Trump that we are ready to fight for our rights!
We will be meeting at Garfield Park (3rd St SE and G St SE) near Capitol South Metro at 8:30am. We will be joining with other organizations including unions, women’s group, and faith leaders as part of the immigrant contingent.

The day prior, on Inauguration Day, we will be in the multipurpose room painting butterfly wings for the march.  Many various organizations have decided to wear butterfly wings that day to demonstrate that migration is beautiful like a butterfly. This movement was started Favionna Rodriguez who is an artist/activist. I am sure many of you will have lots of emotions on Friday, and this will be a good opportunity to express ourself through art.
